GET READY FOR YOUR HAPPY FOOT DOC VISIT!

Whether it's your first visit to a podiatrist or you're a returning patient, a little preparation goes a long way toward making your appointment smooth, efficient, and productive. At Dr. Drucker's boutique practice, we're committed to making every visit as comfortable and informative as possible — and we want you to feel the same way.

Before Your Appointment

  • Complete your new patient intake form. Download and fill out the New Patient Intake Form from our website before your visit to save time at the office.
  • Bring your insurance card and a photo ID. We accept most major insurance plans.
  • Write down your symptoms. Note when the pain or problem started, what makes it better or worse, and any treatments you've already tried.
  • List your medications. Include all prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements.
  • Bring your shoes. The shoes you wear most often — especially athletic shoes — can tell us a lot about your foot mechanics and gait.
  • Wear or bring comfortable socks. We'll need to examine your feet, so easy-to-remove footwear is helpful.

What to Expect During Your Visit

  1. A thorough health history review — Dr. Drucker will ask about your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and activity level.
  2. A physical examination — He'll examine your feet, ankles, and gait, checking for structural issues, range of motion, circulation, and nerve function.
  3. Imaging if needed — Our office has an in-office MRI and CT scanner, so advanced imaging can often be done the same day.
  4. A diagnosis and treatment plan — Dr. Drucker will explain what's going on in plain language and walk you through your options, from conservative care to minimally invasive procedures.

Questions to Ask Your Podiatrist

  • What is causing my pain or problem?
  • What are my treatment options, and what do you recommend?
  • How long will recovery take?
  • Are there lifestyle changes I can make to prevent this from recurring?
  • What should I do if my symptoms get worse before my next visit?
